About

Quantum Computer Art

QCA is a living archive documenting and celebrating the convergence of quantum science and artistic expression.

Mission

To preserve the legacy of quantum computing's role in the arts while inspiring new frontiers of creative expression. Each artwork on this platform provides verifiable references to the quantum systems that generated its data, reinforcing the deep connection between technological progress and artistic innovation.

What is Quantum Art?

Quantum art uses real quantum computers — systems that operate on the principles of superposition, entanglement, and randomness — as a generative tool or conceptual framework. Artists access quantum hardware through platforms like IBM Quantum, Google Sycamore, and D-Wave to produce data that drives visual, sonic, or interactive artworks.

Unlike pseudo-random algorithms, quantum computers produce truly non-deterministic outputs rooted in the fundamental behavior of subatomic particles. This makes each quantum artwork verifiably unique at a physical level.
