Teleportation Disk

J. Russell Huffman ↗

Part of Huffman's Quantum Circuit Disks, which turn foundational quantum algorithms into rippling concentric rings. Alongside this sculpture the series includes pen-plotted ink drawings (2022) of Deutsch–Jozsa, Grover's algorithm, superdense coding and the Toffoli gate.

Technique

A three-qubit quantum teleportation circuit was rebuilt layer by layer as 16 separate circuits and run on an IBM Quantum Falcon r5.1 processor. Each layer's measured outcomes (000–111) set the shape of one ring, and errors relative to a simulator appear as gaps that let light through.
