About this work
The booklet volume Quantum Chip Bitmap Book: Direct Manipulation of Qubits and Measured Images, May 19 – July 18, 2025, which collects the qubit bitmaps made on QIQB's quantum computer. Designed by Yurie Hata and edited by Chika Goto.
Technique
Each qubit on the chip is a pixel and gates are drawing tools: X flips a pixel, SX sets brightness through superposition, and CNOT binds pixels through entanglement. Measurement destroys the state, so the image only appears through repeated prepare-and-measure runs. The images were Risograph-printed so that print errors echo the hardware's noise.
